The Venerable Arciconfraternita of the Misericordia of Florence is an historic charitable organization founded in 1244 in the heart of the city. To this today it is devoted to the functions of ONLUS, active worldwide with numerous missions.
All along an integral part of the Florentine social structure, the Misericordia also boasts a strong cultural tradition. Evident in its prestigious collection of paintings, sculptures, and sacred objects conserved in the Museum and the Church. This great treasure has been formed over the centuries thanks to the donation of artists and collectors demonstrating their support to the humanitarian activities of the fraternal order.
The project wishes to continue and renew the charitable and cultural traditions of the Misericordia.
